Welcome!

My name is Maria Rios Brache. I was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and I currently call Massachusetts home. I am bilingual in Spanish and English, and I bring experience from community mental health agencies, hospitals, and outpatient settings.

I am deeply passionate about working with each person as a unique individual, because I truly believe that "one size does not fit all" when it comes to healing. My heart is especially drawn to supporting those navigating grief, complicated grief, trauma, PTSD, loss of relationships, and life transitions; spaces that can feel incredibly heavy and isolating, but that with the right support, can become profound opportunities for growth and healing.

Every client comes with their own story, their own needs, and their own pace, and I honor that in every session. My role is to be your guide throughout your therapeutic journey. I am here to walk alongside you, offering the tools, techniques, and support that feel right for you. Not a generic approach, but one that is tailored to who you are and where you want to go.

I am so glad you are here, and I look forward to working with you.

Our Focus

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Positive Psychology. I also have extensive experience working with grief, complicated grief, trauma, PTSD, loss of relationships, and life transitions, as well as addiction and substance use — both in pediatric and adult populations. I am also passionate about supporting first responders and individuals experiencing vicarious trauma, understanding the unique and often invisible weight that comes with caring for others in the most challenging circumstances.
